Scary Chicks

Had a nightmare last night - my chicks arrived from the hatchery and they looked like this.

Two days in a row now we have had the exact same strange weather-front move through our area, around the same time of day. Hail pounding on the windows yet the sun was shining. Makes me think something odd is up. A pretty big earthquake hit southern California yesterday too. I decided to make a quick trip there to visit my dad this week and I'm hoping the earth is done quaking now. I'm not an earthquake sissy, trust me, I've experienced my fair share, it's just that I'm out of practice and would rather avoid it if I could.
