The Thinker - Auguste Rodin

One of my Burrell Collection favourites, sitting in the entrance Courtyard near the Warwick Vase. A 27 inch bronze created in 1880-1. Sir William Burrell collected 14 of Rodin's works.

Rodin's larger version was finished in 1902, and a miniature of it sits at the top of The Gates of Hell at the Musée Rodin in Paris. Perhaps not on the main tourist trail in Paris, but well worth a visit. I love it there.

The Burrell was very quiet today, probably due to the torrential rain outside. I enjoyed spending time amongst the treasures, reading up more about them.
