Batalla de Belchite (Belchite´s battle)

El fin de semana en Cataluña se ha terminado. Muy temprano en la mañana hemos comenzado nuestro camino de regreso. Tenemos cinco horas y media hasta el Astillero. Pero, antes, tenemos que dejar en Belchite. Belchite es un pueblo en la región de Zaragoza, muy conocida por las ruinas del antiguo pueblo destruido durante la famosa batalla de Belchite en la Guerra Civil Española. Franco, cuando la guerra había terminado, decidió conservar las ruinas como homenaje a los caídos. El pueblo nuevo de Belchite fue construido al lado de las ruinas. Hoy en día se pueden visitar las ruinas y sentir lo que allí sucedió. Muy recomendable.

The weekend in Cataluña is over. Very soon in the morning we´ve begun our return way. We have five and a half hours until Astillero. But, before, we have to stop in Belchite. Belchite is a village into the region of Zaragoza, very known because the ruins of the old village destroyed during the famous battle of Belchite in the Spanish Civil War. Franco, when the war was over, decided to conserve those ruins as tribute to the fallen. The new village of Belchite was built beside the ruins. Nowadays you can visit the ruins and feel what there happened. Very recommendable.
