Blipfoto Catch up...
Golly.
What has happened to Blipfoto...? It has grown to remarkably GARGANTUAN proportions!!!
It is almost impossible to keep up with all the images and their image-creators on a daily basis now. Gone are the days of old, when you could while away hours flipping through the day's entries, reading the partnering journals and commenting on almost every one of them!!! (Hah, nostalgia!)
Crikey. Congratulations Blipfoto gang - and I really must get into this weekly assignment thing.
But the competition is obviously as stiff as an old corpse on an icy cold day - the quality of images on here has gone right through the roof, up to the moon and beyond... incredible.
Anyway, what has been happening to me since my April entries...
1. Well, I went to (and fell in love with) Rome with my mummy - which was utterly awesome, taking over 500 photographs.
2. I have stopped drinking vino, preferring instead, to stick to the light stuff such as beer, cider and spirits! (I am far less drunk and emotional as a result!!! Oh, and have much less head throbbing in the mornings.)
3. Upon my request, my partner of almost 4 years finally moved out of our flat and we separated, after 2 years of complete unhappiness and misery.
4. I lost around 27 days of work due to being sick with a viral illness.
5. I lost around 10 - 14lbs in weight (see above). (7lbs of which is now back on - not great!)
6. I met up with my first love, a fantastically talented jazz musician and amazing individual, for the first time in 18 years. We had a few drinks and reminisced about when we were together as teenagers and were totally in love. I showed him the letters that he had written to me when he was 14, which I still have. We are still together. In fact, this handwriting is his, from more recent times. It's practically identical, instantly recognisable, as the handwriting of the person who wrote me these letters all these years ago...
7. Consequently, I have been to many, many jazz gigs in a very short space of time. I love jazz, always have, so this is a huge bonus!
8. I have also become frustrated at the limitations of my compact digital camera, which has served me impeccably well for the past 3 years. I have arrived at the recent revelation that I really need (and want) a digital SLR / DSLR... but ALAS, possess no pennies for which to exchange for said desirable object... incidentally, any advice GREATLY appreciated as to what or which models to consider? If and when, that is, any pennies should become apparent in their existence!
(Budget £300 - £400, second hand fine!) ???
9. I have also fallen into depression and despair gazing at Blipfoto, watching my number of subscribers plummet to the murky depths of non-existence, since my last entries in April.
10. But I am now feeling immense contentment and happiness at the fact that I have, this evening, uploaded an image onto Blipfoto...!!! YAY!
