Siena - Tower of the Palazzo Pubblico
This is the tower of the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena, also called "Torre del Mangia". It is 102 meters high and got its name from a not so flattering nickname "Mangiaguadagni", which means "money-/profit-devourer", because of a former bell ringer.
Within the Palazzo are some real treasures of italian art: Ambrogio Lorenzettis frescoes of Good and Bad Government, also two frescoes from Simone Martini (just to name the most important).
