Pigeons

The awkward perch of the pigeon (Columba livia) on the hook caught my eye, then I noticed his iridescent throat matched the green of the wood. Then, as I got out the compact, his friend flew across the scene.
Sad that I didn't have the D40 with me for a better lens, but I was happy to have caught the shot I had imagined :)

I'm feeling almost back to normal today, and with my critical faculties (such as they ever were) restored, it's time for a good session of commenting on all the blips I've missed! Looking forward to seeing what everyone's been up to.
