Caravan fun!
We had a lovely day today. I took Kerr and kerrscousin and Fudge away for the day to visit my parents who are away in their caravan to a place called Dunning, in Perthshire. We were like a travelling circus when we arrived - to a small Caravan Club site which does not allow children :-) I could almost hear the groans of annoyance as I walked past the other 9 caravans to reach mum and dad's - complete with two babies, one very large dog, one double buggy, handbag, two changing bags, toy bag, food bag, blankets, hats, dog food bag etc!!! Hee hee, bet they were all glad when we left!
We played in the caravan for a while and had lunch there. Kerr and Lucy had a great time standing propped up on the sofa tapping the clean windows with very sticky fingers. We then all headed into Auchterarder for a wander round the fancy boutiques and expensive baby clothes shops. Mum and I oohed and aahed at glitzy handbags and shoes, while dad waited patiently outside with babies and animals, bless him.
After that we went down the road a bit to the Baxters Experience at Blackford. I had never been there before, but have driven past many times and always fancied a wee look. We had nice coffee and cream scones, then another look at more glitzy handbags and a really great cookware shop. It reminded me a lot of the House of Bruar, further up the A9. Kerr and Lucy loved being pushed around in the double buggy, and were both exhausted when we got home - Lucy now safely back at her own house, until tomorrow when we are looking after here again! Her sister is doing a 'crash course' at swimming this week, so is in the pool every day. We didn't tell her we were going to Gran and Grandpa's caravan today because if she had known she would have been desperate to come along too.
