Clean dishes

Back in Cuenca for the next two weeks finishing up the whole ¨school¨ part of the semester.....I had almost forgotten that part. With papers, exams, and research projects amongst many other things my hopes for an end of semester trip down to the Southern Sierra or back East into the Amazon foothills looks all washed out.

No more epic adventures but I have Colombia to look forward to after this anyhow. Of course I put it all to the students and now that the decision has been made I´m relieved. It will give everyone time to get work done and do a good job and I´ll finally be able to soak in the city pace by pace, moment by moment. Easy going all the way.

We´ve been eating so well this semester. There are some fantastic cooks amongst us and we´ve all gotten a little spoiled. Homemade breads, salads, soups, and many deserts nearly every night. This night was homemade pesto pasta, crusty fresh baked bread, and salad. Dish duty was a small price to pay.
