I have mixed feelings about the dog next door (illustrated above).

For:
He is the devoted slave of my dog Floss.
He holds no grudges.
He looks like a cartoon character (if you point out that it is Scrappy Doo he looks like I will be forced to move this into the 'against' list).
He has no known antipathy toward my chickens (unless he stands on one by accident) unlike the other Polish dogs who live next door.
He couldn't catch a cat if it strolled up and said meow.

Against:
He poops on my lawn every morning unless I take him out with Floss.
He eats Floss's breakfast.
He woofs at the postman when he is delivering letters to my house.
His slobbers ectoplasm.
