swimming with dolphins

Words don't really describe how amazing this was. We started the morning at 5am, in the dark, were treated to a beautiful sunrise whilst on the boat, spotted the pod of about 500 dolphins and joined them in the water. It was fantastic to be in their environment, where they are wild and free and for them to be happy to swim around us, in fact when the pod moved off half a dozen stayed to play. When we arrived back the sun was shining and we headed off to hang out with the seal colony sunbathing on the beach. Kaikoura is the most spectacular setting with the snow covered mountains as a backdrop. I could have blipped a dozen shots today but it had to be the dolphins. C is the yellow snorkel I'm the blue one.
