weir at Cramond
I took a day's leave, to practise retirement :-]
Caught the bus to Cramond Brig, and walked along the River Almond to Cramond, where I sat with a coffee and scone to watch the boats, ducks, families, study group (they were going into the museum to look at the Roman bits) pass by.
On the way back to the Brig to catch the bus home I encountered several chaps in fatigues carrying huge backpacks sweating along the path in the opposite direction. More beer barrel than 6 pack.
Lots of blips, but chose this one as I was fascinated by the way the water heaped up before going over the edge. Really must put fluid mechanics nearer the top of the list of things to do. Hope the photo isn't too busy.
Last summer, there were kids jumping off the weir, and climbing back up the race wall over the far side.
