All tuckered out

Today a Girl Scout group came to the aviary for a tour and to perform a community service, i.e. raking some of last fall's lingering leaves. Afterwards for a treat they got to meet the "terrible twosome," my two pet Barred Rock chicks who are living at the aviary until they are big enough to fend off our cats, and our resident bunnies. Talen, pictured here, is very friendly and recieved lots of love from the little girls. After they left I found him napping on a small pile of sand in the sun!
