Leskenlehti - Coltsfoot

Today was a wonderful sunny day and I finally saw this spring's very first wild flower, Tussilago farfara. These three were the only ones I saw and they weren't even totally open yet.

I also saw surprisingly many other signs of spring: first butterflies flying around hastily, first viviparous lizards trying to warm themselves in the sun after the hibernation, first ladybird walking on dead leaves of last year. Birds are singing and tiny sprouts of green and purple are breaking free from the ground. I feel the blood starting to move quicker and warmer in my veins.

I got pictures of very pretty garden flowers too, but I just have to post this one. Wild nature is always closer to my heart.
