Broad beans

Spent about three hours happily grubbing about on the allotment. These are the broad beans, looking good. I watered them after taking this as the earth seemed unexpectedly dry. The seeds I sowed under the fleece three weeks ago are all up, but much too wee yet to make them blip-able.

One of our allotment neighbours came up for five minutes to water stuff in her greenhouse and couldn't tear herself away for at least half an hour as it was such a beautiful day. She ended up making a cane wigwam and planting out her climbing french beans. I think her enthusiasm may have got the better of her and they might not survive - but I'd be very happy to be proved wrong!
