Old Beech mast
As I write this on a bright sunny evening somebody outside has decided to set off fireworks - strange.
My bare foot found this beech mast lying on the garden path. Where could it have come from? There are beech trees. but quite a way away. The garden is thrush central at the moment. It's been like this for about two weeks. More thrushes than you could bake in a pie guv'ner. I think it is because we have a lot of rowan trees around and they are all eating the berries. They tap on the window asking if we have any cream or custard.
I am going back outside to look at the grass growing. It needs a loong bit of looking at.
