Merry-go-round

I've been inactive for a while due to getting used to being in a new job and writing festival reviews, plus the weather has been pretty miserable. Each day I have taken my camera with me to work with the intention of getting a few shots on my lunch break, but it hasn't quite worked out that way.

After a torrential downpour last night, this morning the air was cold and the sky a rather uninspiring grey. On a walk through the city gardens it was nice to see the bright lights of this old-fashioned merry-go-round and kids enjoying the end of their holiday.
