sunshine....

I have several clumps of this delightful flower in my garden - no idea what they are, a bit like a tulip but they open wide with the sun, then close up for the night. Seem to have been flowering on and off for a couple of weeks now but they looked stunning in todays brilliant sunshine.

Rare day off today, spent a bit of time weeding and pruning in the garden, staying in Kettering this evening then planning to spend the day in and around Rutland water tomorrow. Got off to a bit of disaster - Hubbie put the wrong fuel in my car... duh, just as well we have a second car. My car safely tucked up at the garage, and we managed to get to our destination.
