110410_ along the Avon walkway_ 007 (100/365)
My wife, two daughters and I went for a cycle around Strathclyde Park this morning. It was mobbed with 4k and 10k runs happening. The paths were plain dangerous. So we decided to cycle to Hamilton (we live in Motherwell) and, by chance, found the road that runs along the Avon to Chatelherault Country Park. We'd never cycled there before and were quite chuffed with the achievement (anything further than the end of our street is an achievement for my moany children).
This pic was taken on a mid '50s Voigtlander Vito CL with Kodak ColorPlus ISO200 35mm film. Taken today and developed today thanks to ASDA's 1 hour developing. The camera was a gift from an elderly couple in our church community and was a real pleasure to use.
Here we have the bridge that crosses the Avon and is one of the main roads between Motherwell and Hamilton. It is a beautiful shade of red.
Lovely day.
