Another Day

Abel Tasman National Park

Our first day at Convention we went for a day trip to the above park, we bused to Kaiteriteri and then went by launch to many bays, finally landing at Anchorage. We used to camp up in this area, but I had not been for a long time so it was a great opportunity to catch up on the 'old haunts'. As you can see we had a beautiful day, and the sand and the colour of the water was fantastic. My friend and I decided we would go for a walk up to Cleopatra Falls, It was a 3 hour walk in and out, but we took about 4 hours looking at everything as we went along. The light was very hard, so we did not take too many photos. We listened and watched some birds, Tui, Bellbirds and waxeyes. And even saw some some fungi as in the blip by 'be' when she had been through the forest. Cleopatra Falls is made up of very large boulders, with water, and a shoot which swimmers like to come down. We walked back in time to catch the launch back to Kaiteriteri, and then back to Nelson.
