upgrade urgently needed

today I'm blipping from the children's bedroom..why?.. because I've got to use my imagination and get something done about it to make it more, I dunno ,give it more personality?
I see them everyday after school till the early evening and they stay over with me on average two nights a week. Theyre growing up fast, one will be a teenager this year and while their room looks colourful it's a bit neglected in the old fashionable department.
They don't actually spend a lot of time in their own room just for sleep really.We tend to spend most of the time together in the two downstairs rooms either watching TV and films, gaming and computers,while i'm doing the housework,cooking or just recovering from work lol.
I can't change the magnolia paintwork or the carpet as the place is rented fully furnished.. but i need to get some stuff out of there and get some new stuff in.

what would blippers suggest?
more lights i thought and something to sit at...not much room though as you can see.
