Vintage muck

A couple of our raised beds needed a good top up. They're both a good bit deeper than they should be so sink down farther than the regular top up with compost can cope with, so we shifted a vast amount of manure and dug it in.

In the process I nearly managed to get sucked into the dung heap whilst we did it. Disappeared in to nearly the top of my wellies. Thought I was a goner for a minute but managed not to panic and dug myself out. Amazing the power of suction in a pile of manure, no matter how well rotted.
