Yes!
My blip today was inspired by Dotty who has recently gathered the courage to ask strangers if she could take their picture for her Blipfoto journal, and consequently posted some excellent portraits. Yesterday I asked a stranger if I could take a picture of the fishing flies he had tied himself, and he immediately responded yes. Bolstered by that YES and encouraged by Dotty's efforts, this morning I approached a painter who had set up his easel next to the pedestrian bridge in the park and was busy painting the scene in front of him." Yes, of course I could take a picture. No problem!" was his response when I asked. He explained that he was very pleased because a fisherman had just walked into his scene, and now he wouldn't have to "make up" a fisherman and paint him in. I took some pictures from several different angles and then moved on before his fisherman walked out of the scene and the morning light faded to noon glare.
Thank you, Dotty, for the inspiration, and thank you, Jim, for your permission to take this blip. Jim's painting blog can be seen here, and here is my picture of Jim and the scene he was painting.
