In a different light ...
Right it was quarter past ten at night and I was without a photo for today, so this one falls into the "experimental" or, if I'm brutally honest "desperation" category. Blipless (and torchless) I headed out into the dark and stumbled towards the tree I posted a shot of on 7th April, leaned against it and pointed the camera skyward into the pitch black night. The results are very different from the earlier shot and the tree looks really sinister and almost alive. This was taken with the compact using a slow flash and if I recall correctly something like 3 seconds exposure, hand-held, braced against the tree.
