I started keeping a diary a couple of years ago initially to keep track of what I was eating in (another) attempt to lose weight.This turned into a proper journal and I wrote every evening. Nowadays I am more likely to write retrospectively sometimes doing a whole week in one entry.

There is something I find irresistible about reading someone else's private thoughts. I once spent a whole babysitting evening trying to resist reading my friend's lodger's diary which she had left open on the table. I'm the same with private letters. Basically anything which has been handwritten and private gets me!

So here is a page from my diary, I didn't chose to reveal this day in particular to the world, it's just one of the most recent entries.
