Unwinding
Despite best intentions to do some research into next weekend's Festival of World Cultures, we spent a very lazy day, apart from Nurse Carl slaving away in the kitchen to produce a superb culinary masterpiece which we attacked with relish. I'd normally act as commis-chef in these circumstances, but I'd not much good as a one-armed chopper so was excused.
Earlier we veggied out in Carl's Kino and watched the original version of Cape Fear (Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck) which was hugely enjoyable.
I left around 7.00 pm and wandered around Dún Laoghaire for a while before getting DART and bus home. I was too late for the Farmers Market in the People's Park, but was in excellent time to soak up the late evening around the harbour. It was a hive of activity, with people strolling along the pier just as if it was Summer and standing around chatting and fishing and sailing. All very, very jolly -- and refreshing and relaxing, too.
