As Comfortable as an Old Shoe

I wear these things everywhere. They're old, I think I need new shoes. They squeek when I walk now, I thought at first it was the rubber meeting the tile, but they do it on the carpet too.

I found the source of the squeak. The inside of the shoes are ripped up. The idea of getting rid of them makes me sad. Why are your sneakers the most comfortable when its time to get rid of them?
