Launa at South Bank
Today was pretty special.
Firstly it was Mum's 51st birthday. We went out to lunch as a family and headed for Seaworld afterwards. There she screamed her lungs out for about 40 seconds or whatever the entire duration of the roller coaster was ;)
On our way out of the park we passed by some dolphins who were playing with a ball. They passed it up to Dad at first who tossed it back into the pool for them to retrieve. We quickly learnt the dolphins were more interested in catching the ball rather than chasing it, silly humans...
It made me really thankful to be able to live somewhere that we can enjoy lunch overlooking the white sand and beautiful ocean then casually enter a themepark with our locals pass and ride the roller coaster a couple times before spending a few minutes playing with dolphins.
In the evening Launa and I headed up to Brisbane to visit a big photography store there. We bought a heap of film before heading to the city where I was charged $15 for a 30 minute park (after spending 20 minutes finding a spare spot) >.<
Met up briefly with Sigrid for our film swap project where a single roll is exposed twice but in two completely different parts of the world. I plan to do my shots in Japan, China, Taiwan or Malaysia - perhaps a combination of them all :D I assume her shots were taken in and around Brisbane.
Finally, Launa and I went to an intro evening to the Landmark Forum. Without going into personal details I saw this whole side of her life that I had never really known about before and hearing about it had me shaking slightly. It wasn't what I'd call your average Wednesday night!
