Kissing gate

Our late giant schnauzer, Hannah, was, as her breed suggests, a large dog. She refused under any circumstances to jump over fences and styles so this kissing gate would have enabled us to take the picturesque walk up the River Rea towards Cleobury Mortimer. As it was, we only did this particular walk when I had help to lift her over (approx. 35 Kgs) which was not very often. This gate was put in just before she died at the grand age of 16, but she was no longer fit enough to take advantage of it.
