Reggie Perrin's creator

Author and scriptwriter David Nobbs was one of the first writers speaking at the Scarborough Literature Festival today. He's the man who (among many other things) created and wrote the classic TV comedy The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, and is now involved in the updated series.
He started work as a journo' on the Sheffield Star, and gave a great talk about his early career, and subsequent success. Very nice bloke too...
