Not-So-Lowly
Today was quite the eventful day, between having glorious sun to enjoy, a new lens to collect, a fantastic gig full of good music and friends to try said lens out at, my sister's 30th birthday complete with limo and cocktails, and living close enough to the city centre to leave the car at home and enjoy a few drinks. This was the first time I've got to do the last part, which was very enjoyable, and I look forward to leaving the car at home a bit more on sunny evenings.
The band headlining at the Habitat For Humanity gig tonight was the Lowly Knights, a band I dedicated a blip to a long time ago. They've gone through many changes and exciting times since those early days, and although they hadn't played in Belfast for 7 months they sounded great and the crowd were glad to have them back. It was great to hear new tracks and see how they're evolving and developing their style. Kudos to the Knights and all the other bands (Captain Cameron, Maguire & I, and More Than Conquerors - all well worth taking the time to check out), thanks for a great night!
[Lesson reinforced tonight - always remember to bring earplugs to gigs, especially when taking photos...]
