While the cat's away

What an exciting day I've had today. A trip into Edinburgh to meet my friend E saw us catching a glimpse of a wedding party, shopping and seeing an exhibition.

Turns out the wedding we saw was Sir Chris Hoy's. We didn't see him but were suspicious as there were a lot of people with a lot of big cameras.

A shopping spree at The Finishing Touch with cake decorations galore was a must for the Upper Cut Cake bakers. On making our purchases E made me feel better by telling me not to think of all the things we did buy but to think about the many things we left.

The exhibition was at The Fruitmarket Gallery. It's the work of children from 2 schools who undertook a project under the supervision of an artist/s. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're around Edinburgh.

You may by now have guessed that Mr d's away. He managed to fly to Brussels on Tuesday and he's due to fly home tomorrow. What do you think the chances are he'll make it back then?
