Random inanimate object of the day

Hmm.. so I haven't actually left the house today. I watched the Grand Prix this morning (which was great, and would have been even better if I wasn't a Schumacher fan) so I wasn't dressed until lunch time. Since I'm still not feeling the best and it's a bit rainy outside I thought I'd have a lazy day, I think I'm due one.

This is part of the lid of a woven straw pot my best friend brought back from one of her travels. I think it's from her time in Ecuador, when she was working in the rainforest, but I can't be sure. Definitely South America anyway. When I looked closely at it I was horrified to see a fine layer of dust volcanic ash had settled on it. Time to get the dusters out! :)
