Am I competitive? Surely not!

He makes scones, good but a bit cake like and soft on the outside yesterday. The art needs perfecting so we change recipe books and it's a role reversal, he reads out the details and I cook. I've chosen to do a Delia recipe with the inclusion of egg and buttermilk.

A lot less mess than yesterday later and they're complete, I whip up some pink cream with a bit of vanilla paste and slice up some strawberries. A little sprinkle at the end and we have a Barbie cream tea!

Thanks Delia, scones were perfecto! moist in the middle and gently crumbly and crisp on the outside.

Just wish my waistline was celebrating too!
