Leamington Lift Bridge

After 39 years in Edinburgh this is the very first time I've looked at this thing up close. I'd like to see it open up to let a barge up to the Lochrin Basin, which for the non Edinburgh people out there, is the Edinburgh end of the Union Canal. The bridge itself is quite an impressive structure and totally redundant these days as traffic can't pass over it anymore.

Light wasn't the best down at Edinburgh Quay tonight but I liked the reflection in this one. Day off tomorrow, hoping I'll get somewhere outside Edinburgh for a change!
