Soft foods day...

Went to the dentist this morning for my xrays and scale and polish. As I sat down in the chair he asked me if I was okay with anaesthetic. I was a bit confused at this point, I know it's been a while since I was at the dentist but didn't think I'd need them for a clean... He told me he'd be doing as many of the fillings that he could today and the others at a later date. To say I was shocked was a bit of an understatement.

It was really really bloody sore. :(

I had four injections in all, none of which seemed 'gentle'. He was also really quiet during the whole thing and didn't tell me what he was doing which seemed a bit odd. He'd asked me last week if I was okay with the dentist and I really thought I was but apparantly not. I was properly shaking through the whole procedure and was very glad when it was done. He managed three of the fillings today and another two on Saturday.

He did both sides of my mouth so the whole of the bottom of my face was numb. Made for a hilarious phone conversation with my mother but wasn't very pleasant afterwards. I felt really rough and felt as though someone had punched me in the mouth. I was really sensitive after the anaesthetic wore off and the filling had changed my bite - when I go back I'm going to ask them to file it a bit.

So today was soft foods day. My lovely Acronymphomania made me homemade soup which was so nice of him and was delicious!! I also managed a pack of Buttons. It was hard, but I ploughed through!
