Summer woes...

This year's summer seems to be more merciless than the last year's. Two of the common problems generally associated with summers in this region are electricity and water shortage. Luckily last year water shortage was hardly there...daily power cut was routine though. This year, things are different. Power cuts are long and water shortage acute. What makes things worse is alternate arrangements for water are not readily available. These are things we generally take for granted but only during the time of adversity do we realize how dependent are we on these. We need to plan better at water storage and usage at least till the crisis is over. I took the day off today - certainly not a good day to stay at home when one is out of water and power. The power is back (thankfully), but guess we need to wait a little longer for the other one.
