Relic

This is the remains of a bronze statue to the nephew of the last King of Poland.It was made by a Danish sculptor. There is now a replica statue where the original statue stood. A day of learning about Polands history at the Warsaw Uprising Museum.I am full of admiration for the bravery and spirit of the Polish people.To think that the buildings we saw in the old town were in fact rebuilt in the 1950's after they were flattened in 1944.Makes our experience pale into insignificance.
