You know summer is here ...
I woke up today to the loud sound of a Diesel powered generator. Apartment watchman switches it on whenever the power goes off. The sound from this generator is so loud that however hard you try to ignore it and try to sleep, you will just not be able to do that. You will have to give up and get up for sure!
So I woke up, frustrated by the power cut, cursing the power and the generator noise. As if that is not enough, there was no water in the society. The borewell water has dried up and the tanker lorry that supplies water to our society went on a strike today. Result - No water to even freshen up and get ready in the morning. These are the times that will remind, 'Hey, SUMMER is here!'. As long as things run fine, we don't think about power or water management. We just take things for granted. Only when things go scarce, that their need gains twice their value.
Somehow managed to get ready with a little water that we had stored earlier. But today has definitely reminded us the necessity of water management this summer!
PS: Guess taps and fans kinda undergo a role reversal in Summer. I sweat hard even when I sit under the fan (does it spray water?!). Only air comes out of the tap (the more you open it, the stronger it blows air).
