spent a good part of the day at "antiques roadshow - the next generation" at the royal museum in edinburgh.

if you think the bbc is a marvelous institution don't ever wreck this illusion by going to see them doing anything. what a shower of stuck-up, disinterested, self-important (i could go on and end in a very harsh expletive but i won't) people.

you expect to wait a long time at the antiques roadshow, fine. you don't expect the wait to be caused by members of bbc staff consistenly pointing you in the wrong direction and putting everyone - and i do mean EVERYONE - in the same "miscellaneous" queue so that it snakes round the building three times.

we jumped out of "misc" and where seen straight away at "antiques" where we were treated like absolute idiots for even turning up and then ignored as the cameras weren't there at that time.

but remember this is only made possible by the way the bbc is funded, marvelous...
