Successful conference blip

Today was the day of the conference I had been planning for several months - with another colleague. The Icelandic volcanic ash cloud and the closure of the airspace over the UK and parts of Europe meant that one of our Canadian speakers was not able to join us. They had, however, sent us a copy of their paper...so it was all fine...except of course that we missed her physical presence in the room.

The day was a huge success with excellent presentations and brilliant attendance from a range of academics and other stakeholders - good opportunity for debate and discussion.

After the conference, I decided to go for a walk in the University gardens before heading home. I had thought of blipping an oilseed rape field I drove past in the morning but decided to settle for this picture. Hope to do the oilseed rape field later this week.

The blip shows the Victorian Founders Building of Royal Holloway, University of London.
