Hello Ducky

For once, I was so happy I was lugging my proper camera with me. I had just got off the train and was heading up the road, down the hill from the station, and I thought the burn looked lovely and clear and still. As I watched the burn for a minutes, these two ducks, obviously a couple paddled up the burn.

I took a few shots of them, but this is my favourite, purely because the colour of the drake is so clear. It captures the brightness of the evening, and the warmth I was feeling. It's got colder again, and once more the forecast is for sleet.

It can sleet all night if it wants. As long as it's lovely again tomorrow.
