First smile of the day!

I'm loving this stage of babyhood. It seems like nearly every day Ethan achieves another first in something.

Today was the first time he woke up in the morning and didn't immediately start crying for a feed. When I went in to check on him at 8.30am he was lying wide awake in his crib, playing with the toy spiral on the side. I watched him for a good 5 minutes or so and he was completely unaware I was there as he was so engrossed in his toy. When he turned his head and saw me, he gave me the most beautiful gummy smile which just melted my heart! I was secretly filming him so got it on video but haven't managed quite such a good photo. I think this is still cute though!
