My happy little life

Duckling

Jamie, trying to give the duckling a kiss. These ducklings are tiny little miracles - their mother was killed by a fox in my brother's garden, before they'd even hatched. The eggs had been left to go cold, but my brother asked my mum if she could try and hatch them under a broody chicken. Unfortunately, none of her hens were broody. And she doesn't have an incubator. So the eggs were placed in a cardboard box, with a lamp over them, and turned when mum remembered to. And now we have very, very cute hand reared ducklings to go and play with at mums!
