I feel sorry for the donkey...

Not much daylight around today but went out to get what I could. Just off Wemyss Place I spotted this tree and found a nearby wall from which to get a steadier picture. Upon the wall lay this: a simple piece of string about ten inches long, augmented at the easterly end by three nails (possibly the plasterboard variety). It had no purpose that I could discern although it could conceivably have been a sort of primitive weapon. As it was next to a car park I did wonder if it was employed by neds to puncture tyres. Anyone any ideas?
