Faeries in the Fothergilla
I could write something suitably ethereal to accompany the image but the brain cells aren't cooperating on that level tonight. The yard work today has worn me out but it's a good worn out...a small dent was made in the self-imposed list of to-do's.
This picture came out completely different than I expected. My settings were such that I thought I would catch the shrub in focus and that the sprinkler water would create trails (based on me not being able to 'freeze' the droplets yesterday with a faster shutter speed) but I sort of like it, especially big.
In between digging and watering, a client project also got taken care of although it's not entirely resolved. I have half a mind to just say pluck it and settle down with some tea, oatmeal cookies and watch an episode of "The Last Detective" on DVD. In fact, that is precisely what I'm going to do.
I'm very relieved for European travelers that air traffic has resumed and hope very much the experts are wrong about an even bigger eruption historically following the one that just happened.
Before blipping I didn't know or know of anyone in Europe except my best friend from high school who's living in London and a cousin, too. Now, all of a sudden, there are all these people who I care about and want to be safe. So I'm hoping real, real hard.
