First Rose

First rose of 2010. It is really nice for a photographer to have a gardener in the family. I would have pruned this rose down to about six inches high to get nice blooms but Lois declined. Now the flowers have proven that she was correct. This big blossom is the result and there several juicy buds that are getting ready to unfold.
