My Photographic Footprint

Book Cover Fashions.

I saw this in the charity shop today, it brought back memories of early teen reading.
The strange thing was that when I read it it seemed quite reasonable that Mary Queen of Scots looked like an extra from an early Bond film, or Vogue cover.

Every few years the books covers reflect our idea of beauty, and we think, Ah they have got it right this time. Then we look back, and see that yet again we have been fed an inaccurate current depiction. It is of course the same with films.
The first sign of aging for me is not the young looking policemen, but the rather out of date faces from our 'past'.
