Beside The Seaside
I was fortunate to be brought up in a small seaside town on the west coast of Scotland and for me there is still something special about those kind of towns. Many have fallen on hard times but some are being regenerated and the natural features that were their appeal in the first place in many cases remain.
Today I was by the sea in Southport which is a home to those in God's waiting room, 70's footballers and kiss me quick hats. A lot has been spent regenerating the promenade and the pier and it has been money very well spent.
But the one quality that stood out for me today was the air. It was bright and crystal clear. It was just like being on top of a mountain on the clearest day. The sky was cloudless and a beautiful deep azure.
This blip thing is a real test. I took a whole load of photos and have had to be very strict with myself in getting down to the one that I have decided to post here today.
