Little Ray of Sunshine

We had a fascinating meeting today with some friends from Caring Memories they produce a range of books to help people with dementia build up a history of their lives. Really interesting stuff. We held the meeting in a room full of artifacts designed to trigger memories of the past.

Well this soap certainly did for me. My granny used to use this although it always had tea leaves stuck in it. She only had a sink in her kitchenette with cold water and seven kids and as the teapot was emptied in the same sink there was always leaves stuck to the soap - 'orrible. She never changed when all her kids were grown up and us grandchildren stayed the night - the soap still had tea leaves stuck to it.

The thought of it still sends a shiver down my back.
