Busy bees

Beautiful cloud free day apart from the reminders left by the airlines to let us know that they are getting back to business and ferrying people across the globe.

It has only been a short time (for many it has felt like a lot of long) but when I pulled back the curtains this morning I was surprised to see the vapour trails of so many aircraft marking their descent to Manchester.

We have a friend who is still stuck in Barbados until at least next Sunday and another who was last night sat in Male airport in the Maldives waiting to get back. What must have started as a wonderful idea of spending just another couple of days in paradise turned into a real ordeal.

I wish all those still stuck on foreign soils a safe journey back home.
